  • If we are waiting for a new server to be delivered, you may need to wait a slightly longer period of time.

  • Do you offer refunds if I am not satisfied?

  • Providing you have contacted customer service (sales@seedbox.ca) within 48hrs of your purchase, provided you have used less than 50% of your quota allocation, you will receive a refund. Refunds will not be issued beyond that point, unless extreme circumstances are present, such as hardware failure, or extended downtime.

  • Can I run any other programs?

  • You receive full (non-root) SSH access to the system, meaning you can run custom shell scripts, programs like rar/unrar and any other number of free/open source applications are available and if not already installed, will be installed for you.

  • Is my storage area accessible to other users?

  • Absolutely not, your storage area is accessible by you and you alone.

  • Can I run windows applications on the server?

  • That depends, applications which do not require MS.NET runtimes or Visual Basic runtimes *may* work (even the Visual Basic ones *may* work) but you will need to manually configure those applications on your own, root access is not required to install/configure windows applications, and you can do this on your own without any need of contacting administration. Use of/installation of Commercial software which may have 'phone-home' routines is done so at your own risk, and any complaints received regarding such unlicensed use of software will be investigated and dealt with. Your results may vary depending on your familiarity with how WINE works.

  • Can you install those windows applications for me?

  • Attempts can be made, however this will only be done for free applications, of which there is no linux alternative, Cracked or Unlicensed Commercial Software will not be installed by staff. See above for limitations regarding windows software.

Terms of Service

Use of this service to disseminate copyrighted works through publicly accessible outlets such as thepiratebay, kickasstorrents, demonoid etc, is strictly prohibited. Technologies such as DHT/Peer Exchange are not allowed on this service, they have been disabled and if it is discovered that you have enabled them to participate in public tracker usage, your account will be terminated immediately with no refunds possible.Using torrent technology in and of itself is NOT illegal, and this service is also recommended for those of you interested in gameservers,irc bouncers, or any other high bandwidth activity that you may not be able to do at home due to a draconian ISP.

Your activites are not monitored, your hard disk allocation is handled by quota applications and you can rest assured that only you will be accessing your private storage area. The only exception to this is for administrative staff responding to a technical issue(which you must first report to us). Your Remote Desktop(NX) session is also not monitored except as the above exception dictates.

Use of this service to propagate viri/send spam/participate in DDOS attacks/distribute(or store) child pornography/publicly distribute copyright files(via XDCC or by making your FTP password publicly available) will also result in an immediate closure of your account.
